The Smiddy was many years ago a small croft house but as crofts were amalgamated people began to move to the villages and the cottages became farm steadings and in this case part of the building became a small byre for housing cattle and part became Neil’s grandpa’s Smiddy for shoeing horses used on the crofts.

The byre area has been transformed into a bedroom and a shower room. The Smiddy area is an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with breakfast bar. The kitchen is well equipped with Oven/hob/fridge/freezer/microwave/toaster and dishwasher. We also have installed a hot water tap for teas & coffees. A sofa bed is provided in the living area and there is a 40″ Smart HD TV and free internet. This property is all on one level with deep windows in keeping with the original building. With the thick well insulated walls and the air source underfloor heating this is a warm and inviting house to stay in whether it be winter or summer.

Patio doors have replaced the original wooden doors opening out onto its own private outside seating area.
