Ballymeanach Holiday Cottages are situated on an owner-occupied croft situated on the beautiful Rhinns of Islay; which is recognised both internationally (Ramsar site) and domestically (SSSI) as a place of importance for the conservation of native flora and fauna. The croft is actively farmed, in a non-intensive, traditional manner and has a growing herd of native Galloway cattle.

When you arrive in Islay:

  • Take the A847 road to Portnahaven.

  • Once you are in the village continue past the church and turn right (at the OK corner).

  • Ballymeanach is about ¾ of a mile up this road on your right hand side.
