Welcome to Ballymeanach Holiday Cottages

Ballymeanach Holiday Cottages are situated on an owner-occupied croft situated on the beautiful Rhinns of Islay; which is recognised both internationally (Ramsar site) and domestically (SSSI) as a place of importance for the conservation of native flora and fauna. The croft is actively farmed, in a non-intensive, traditional manner and has a growing herd of native Galloway cattle.

The cottages are available for short term holiday rentals all year round and include The Barn, The Smiddy & The Cottage. They are an ideal resting place for people looking to explore all aspects of Islay, including walking, cycling, beaches, wildlife, birdwatching, whisky and of coarse a rich history. After a day’s exploring return to Ballymeanach to relax with a dram or glass of wine in our holiday cottages or outside in your private seating area and listen to the silence, birds or sometime the haunting sound of the seals.
